Washington Garden Wedding // Annetta + Brandon

I have to start out by saying that this was one of my favorite weddings of all time. Annetta and Brandon have been the most amazing couple, and I’m so lucky to have met them. We shot their engagement photos at Deception Pass in Washington, and when we met, we clicked right away. They’re such a great couple and always have huge smiles on their faces. It’s rare to not see them happy and laughing!

We met again on June 1, 2019 at Stepping Stones Garden for their Washington garden wedding.

It was seriously the most perfect, sunny, summer day. When I pulled up I was in absolute awe. This venue is in the prettiest whimsical garden ever, it was breathtaking. It’s in a beautiful space in the forest, there were flowers everywhere, beautiful chandeliers, and cute little nooks and corners throughout. As a photographer, this was SO fun to experience and amazing to shoot. Annetta’s sister Tania owns White Lace Rentals and did the flowers and some of the decor. Rustic Glam Rentals did decor as well, and it looked absolutely amazing.

We started the day by documenting details like Annetta’s jewelry, her and Brandon’s cute vow booklets, and Annetta’s dress, which was on a beautiful custom hanger.

She found her dress at Christinna’s Bridal in Seattle, with the lace, sheer sleeves, and flowy bottom it was a dream.

The entire bridal party was a blast, and the guys had the time of their life during the groomsmen photos. They were all channeling their inner Vogue and modeling hard + Brandon had the biggest smile on his face. While the guys were having their photos done, Annetta was getting ready with her girls - in a house that was pink from top to bottom. It was SO pretty! She got her makeup done, hung out with her girls, and was just radiating joy the entire time.

Annetta and Brandon opted for a first look before their wedding ceremony. It was so sweet to see them together before the walk down the aisle. They were both so emotional, and they had their wedding party there to support them.

The entire aesthetic of their wedding was so effortlessly put together. Everything from the rustic cakes on little gold stands, to the DIY welcome sign handmade by Brandon, it was all perfect.

The ceremony that followed took place outside. There were gorgeous white drapes creating pretty shadows over the ceremony space, and the arch had flowers naturally growing around it. It was so whimsical and beautiful. The ceremony itself was intimate and included a sweet prayer. Annetta and Brandon read each other their own personal vows, and it was so moving that everyone got emotional. The guests were tearing up, and even though I’m not one to cry, I had to hold myself together. I was literally tearing up behind my camera.

From the beautiful venue, to the amazing guests, to the happy couple, this Washington garden wedding couldn’t have been any more magical.

Once the ceremony was finished, we took photos at a lovely greenhouse on the property. We moved over to a huge white tent where the reception was being held. During the reception, we listened to sweet, heartfelt toasts; Annetta’s sister sang a song for her; and both Annetta’s and Brandon’s parents said beautiful toasts. Everyone got emotional but there was so much heart and joy underneath it all.

The guests were whistling and clapping, and even through tears Annetta and Brandon were SOOO happy. The friends and family present were there to celebrate their love and union, so supportive and fully present throughout the day. Annetta and Brandon bounced from group to group during the reception, laughing and talking and taking photos with their guests.

I snuck them out for sunset portraits, and, just like at their engagement session, we had SO much fun.

We spent the entire time during sunset laughing and joking around, and it was so obvious to see how happy they were together. They held the dance party in a nearby barn, with pretty string lights hanging overhead. It looked so cool and was just one of the many beautiful spots at Stepping Stones Garden. The dance party was amazing, with all of the guests and wedding party jamming out and singing and dancing. Me and my second shooter joined them on the dance floor and it was the most fun EVER!

They ended the night with a sparkler exit under string lights outside. It could not have ended more perfectly. I know I said it already, but this was one of my favorite weddings ever.
