Painted Hills Engagement // Kaia + Joey
The Painted Hills are listed as one of the Seven Wonders of Oregon and it’s been on the top of my bucket list of places to visit for literally years. So, you can imagine how excited I was when Kaia + Joey wanted that as their engagement shoot location. It was the perfect excuse to head over to Bend, Oregon for a little weekend getaway. YAY to two bucket list locations checked off!
Let me say, it did not disappoint. We got to eat so much good food and drink some of literally the best coffee I’ve ever tried (oat milk vanilla lattes are my weakness.) And the drive over to Painted Hills was so peaceful + stunning. We lost service about an hour before arrival so you can imagine how much I was freaking out about getting in touch with Kaia + Joey (insert laughing + nervously sweating emoji) but luckily, we found each other!
Pro Tip: Discuss meet-up locations before driving out to Painted Hills because there is no service for about 1.5 hours out in all directions!
It seriously could not have been a more perfect summer evening. We admired the nature around us, ran around in the wild flower fields, and stayed out until it was literally pitch dark. Kaia + Joey decided to camp out that evening nearby, so the coolest + most adventurous couple award officially goes to them! I feel so blessed to be able to travel to breathtaking places and capture such sweet + unique love stories!
