Latourell Falls + Columbia River Gorge Bridals

One of my favorite places in the world to do photo shoots is at the Columbia River Gorge. It's surrounded by mountains, the beautiful rushing river, and there are tons of breathtaking waterfalls in the area. Its that type of place you go to experience nature and escape from reality. It was a few days before the Fourth of July, and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to do some summer/fourth of July inspired adventure bridals, and get a little bit of mountains, forests and waterfalls.

Tree Myriah, a jewelry brand designed for adventurous souls contacted me to feature some of her absolutely STUNNING bridal pieces, and the timing turned out perfect with this shoot. Other totally awesome creatives joined into this shoot as well like, Alisha from 'For the Love of Floral', who actually foraged greenery from the forest herself to tie in that outdoorsy feel into her bouquet (literally stuck to the theme down to the smallest detail). And my brother Mike who's a super rad videographer also happened to be in Portland at the time, so I had to make him film a small video.

Ya know when pieces just come together and things just fall in place? Yea it rarely happens to me but this was one of those shoots! And I cant forget to brag about my couple Emma + Jayce, ahhhhh they are the CUTEST (you'll know what I mean once you scroll down). They were so down to get dirty, run around with smoke bombs in the heat, and get soaking wet standing practically right under the waterfall. What makes it even better though is that they are high school sweethearts, and their connection with each other just makes my heart melt! I had so much fun photographing them, and you know that it was one heck of an adventure when the wedding dress is trashed and dirty at the end, haha. YES PLEASE, to more adventurous shoots like this, and a huge thanks to the amazing vendors that got to be a part of this shoot as well, couldn't have done it without any of you!
